Pinky:st Series 2

After a careful start, the Pinky tribe branched out again in the end of 2003 with a pair of school girls. What the sweet trio of Yoshiko, Sue and Tamae had not already accomplished, was left in the hands of the kogals Moe and Kokoro. Japan is very partial to school girls so it should not come as a surprise that this pair are the most popular girls even in 2005!
To make up for the lack of a third girl in this series, VANCE offered a set with street clothes and smart accessories for the school girls.

Kokoro and Moe belong to separate schools so they wear different school uniforms.

The Girls

Sweet longhaired Moe (Moeru) is perhaps the nostalgic music lover. However, Moé or Moeru is a whole concept in the otaku culture that is interesting in it's own right. Wiki entry.
Blue eyed Kokoro looks reproachingly at her big sister who wont return Kokoro’s CD.
The Extras includes two tops, a pair of trousers, a cute blue cap, a set of short back hair, a front hair piece with glasses, and two fashionable bags.

Moe and Kokoro are both dressed up for cheerleading practise.

The Extras

Both girls comes with a cheerleading uniform for their respective school teams. There’s also a handbag and a satchel for their school books. Please note that there’s only a bowtie for Moe’s uniform, Kokoro has borrowed her from another girl.

Kokoro and Moe are here all kitted up for a visit to Shinjuku.

The Repaints – Series 2A

Followed by Series 3 and several special issue Pinkys in early 2004, their success was firmly established, and a repaint series of the school girls was relseased in July. The new versions of Moe and Kokoro probably never made the same impact as the originals, but the PK006A reissue of the extras was warmly welcomed by all the new Pinky fans who had missed out on the originals.
A change of hair styles required the girls to swap blister packs, and therefore extras, so in Series 2A Kokoro has the handbag and a [pink] bowtie.

Postscript

Kokoro means heart and that is sweet.
Few of the Series 2 Pinkys are avaliable in the regular channels any longer, but they can sometimes be found in online auctions at eBay or Yahoo JP. However, all figures of series 1 and 2 was rereleased in new colors in February 2006, in addition, Tamae PK003 became available again.
