A refconverter is a right-angle finder, or Winkelsucher in German. It attaches to the viewfinder eyepiece and allows viewing while looking down instead of straight through. This is very useful when you want to photograph small things like Pinky standing on the ground.
Regrettably, it is not easy to come by and rather expensive, as it is a very solid piece of engineering in heavy metal and glass. This model includes a switchable 2x magnifier lens.
