Pentax K-m

Latest news: On April 24, Pentax will release a limited number (1,000) of the K-m olive, as shown below. This will probably become a collectors item for Japan only.

The K-m is the new bottom line model that is named K2000 in the US where it is bundled with lens and external flash. This is a 10 MP DSLR for the new SLR photographer, as well as for all those who wants a small camera to bring a long everywhere. In Japan it is focused on “mama,” the family CFO who may want to document various family events – Pentax Japan special K-m HP.

Reg Hardware asks if the K-m is one of the best budget DSLRs available.
UK cnet likes it but wishes for a better lens. One of the compact limiteds such as the DA 40mm makes a great match.

Specials

Pentax has already offered two special versions of the K-m for enthusiasts and collectors. One is for almost all of us – a snow white K-m! The other is very special – a bling model all covered in crystals.
