Pinky:st. in Town

Pinky:st. in Town vol.1 appeared in September 2004 from publisher JIVE with a new idea in the Pinky world – a book full of papercraft dioramas that could be assembled into a street scene, a school, a park setting, or a kitchen (see below for instructions).
The big box contained not only a book with the dioramas printed on heavy stock, but also a new Pinky girl with the usual extras. The Pinky in Town girl is Hana dressed in a sailor fuka school uniform and wearing glasses. Her Japanese nickname is Inko or Machi.
The following pictures show Hana in some of the settings possible, you will find many other examples elsewhere in P&P.

Hana's school

Hana waiting outside her school. She looks a bit worried, perhaps because she is the only one who has shown up yet.

The Extras

A yellow T-shirt with print, a short green skirt, white shoes, a black school satchel, and a badge.

Hana in park

Hana has changed into causal clothing and is waiting for her friends in the park.

Hana and friends in kitchen

After teaming up with her friends Ramika and Iko, the trio went to the Pinky kitchen.

The Book

The content is somewhat hard to describe accurately as all the scenes are doublesided and sometimes used in one setting, and other times in two different ones. In addition to the main themes with walls and flooring, there are many small items such as gates, garden walls, trees, desks, a swing, sitting legs for Pinky, and more.
It takes some work to figure out what belongs where, but the box offer several small photos of the completed six dioramas to guide you. These are: Outside the Pinky home. Outside the school entrance. The school room. The school corridor. A park scene with market stands. The Pinky kitchen.
The six settings are created with four sets of backgrounds consisting of a main one, and a smaller one that can be attached at an angle on the right or the left. There are also four doublesided floor plans.
The various parts have to be cut out with a sharp knife and often folded and glued together. It is best to remove the book completely from the box and then cut away the spine from all the pages in one operation.
Pinky fan ikiiki has put together a great tutorial that will get you get started with the assembly.
